A basic style canvas tote bag made by a factory brand. This design, in which the sides (bottom gusset) of the bag are folded into a boat-shape (triangle), is made of multiple layers of canvas, making it difficult for a typical industrial sewing machine to pass the needle through, and there are very few factories in Japan that can sew with this design.
We use high-density selvedge canvas No. 8 (salt & pepper canvas) from Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. The fabric takes advantage of its natural heathered texture, and is resistant to abrasions and scratches and lasts a long time. It is sewn powerfully and carefully using a special sewing machine.
The bag maintains its shape, making it easy to see where things are and quickly retrieve them. For this reason, we purposely did not create any partitions and designed it so that many items could fit comfortably inside.

The fabric is dense and thick, making use of its natural heathered texture. A tote bag with this design cannot be sewn with a regular sewing machine, so a special sewing machine is used to sew it with great force.
