Product usage: Trimming: Before shaping, wash the tooth protection guard with warm water and wear it. If the dental guard feels too large or uncomfortable, use scissors to cut off the extra length or wall height. Custom Fitness: Read all instructions before you begin. Heat a bowl of water. Make sure there is enough water to completely submerge the dental guard. Shut off the water from the heat source for 10 seconds and place the dental guard in the water for 20 seconds. Remove the dental guard from the water using a rounded spoon or fork and let cool for 5 seconds. Place the dental guard on your upper teeth and bite down. Don't bite too hard. If you bite too hard, you may create a hole in the bottom of the dental guard. Close your lips and suck in all the air and water until the tooth protector molds snugly around your teeth. Use your tongue to press firmly against the inner wall, or use your fingers to press your lips and cheeks against the outer wall of the brace. Hold for 10 seconds. Remove the brace and rinse with cold water for 10 seconds. Dental guards should be comfortable when placed back on your teeth. If the tooth guard is too loose, simply repeat the custom fitting process one more time, applying more force during shaping. IMPORTANT: Inspect the dental guard for wear every night after use. If the occlusal surface has holes or is seriously damaged, discard the dental guard and fit a new guard. Rinse the dental guard with warm water and store it in its storage case for next use.
